Upcoming Events

  • October 2009:

    The Census of Juveniles on Probation Team Meeting will be held October 29th at 10 a.m. in the Maryland office.

    November 2009:

    Executive Director Anne Douds and the Chairman of the Board, Doug Douds, are participating in the Strategic Leadership Series in New York for four days, including conferences with the New York City Police Department and Bellevue Hospital.

    The Marketing Team will meet November 4th at 6 pm. in the Maryland office. Fellow Silvia Livelli will present ideas for restructuring the website and developing partners for 2010 conferences.

    The Justice Health Research Team will meet on November 9th at the home of the Administrator to discuss progress on the STD libraries, pursuit of vaccine libraries, and development of website space for easy access to the libraries. Lunch will be served.

Previous Events

  • The Society's Founder, Dr. Catherine Gallagher, and Fellow Dr. Stuart Kinner (Burnet Institute, Australia), successfully completed the third phase of Field Registration for the proposed Cochrane Justice Health Field in Singapore at the annual Cochrane Colloquium. The Society hopes to formally launch the Field in February 2010.

  • The Society's CRO, Dr. Adam Dobrin, participated in the annual meeting of the Juvenile Health Committee at the National Conference on Correctional Health Care in Orlando, Florida, where national leaders from the medical, nursing, legal, academic and psychological communities worked to develop Juvenile Standards to guide best practices among health care workers in juveniles facilities.

  • The Justice Health Research Team met on October 15th to develop search protocols and strategies for STD prevalence among justice populations. The next Team Meeting will be held on November 9th. Lunch will be served.
